(approved 2004 August 11)

July 14, 2004

Present: Bob Sawyer, Charlie Webster, Bob Evans, Joel Parks, Holly Webster, and Ralph Hammond

7:30 pm. Approval was made of the June minutes after Joel made several corrections. (The agenda has been shortened due to the absence of Ray Ruetenik.)

  1. Police report - There were no accidents reported during the month of June, reported Bob Sawyer.
  2. Sidewalk passability –We could perform a survey, or write publicity letters. Rich Warrington said that the brush hog is rented by the week and may not get the job done. We decided to take an in-committee survey. Anyone interested should work on identifying any problem areas and let Joel know via e-mail before our next meeting.
  3. Bedford bike tour – Bob Evans showed us the proposal that he had sent to Mark Siegenthaler. Tour 1 will be Sat. 14 Aug. 9:30am with a rain date of Aug 21. Tour 2 will be Sat. 25 Sept. 9:30am with a rain date of Oct. 2. His proposal also included a waiver for all participants and one for minors. We are awaiting Mark’s response to Bob’s proposal.

  1. For the month of October only, the meeting will be Oct. 6 rather than Oct. 13. (Reason: "Bedford Families Unplugged" event see and search for "unplugged")
