Police Accident report -
Bob reported that there were no bicycle accidents in the log in March.

MMB Extension
VHB study is still ongoing. Mark reported that Mass Highway will now perhaps approve of an alternative surface. The answer will be forthcoming soon. VHB will make a presentation to the selectmen and perhaps to us. VHB has been looking at the site and doing a cross section. The Town Manager's office has a copy to the contract between the selectmen and VHB. Bob will get a copy for us. The contract was approved sometime in the 4th quarter. Bob reported that the Pan Mass Challenge Kids ride will be using a section of the extension. Ralph will check with Warrington re: tree cutting.
-
MAPC bike racks -
Brian has dealt with Anna Biton of MAPC. She provided forms. $3300 could be reimbursed to the town. She suggested putting Rich Warrington on the form to authorize the purchase. Shipping and installation are not included. Expect a 3 month lag between buying rack and getting reimbursed. Mark suggested sending forms to Rick Reed rather than Rich Warrington. Brian will do this. Bob suggested putting the "U" racks at an angle so that they would not stick out as far. Brian will bring the forms filled in to our next meeting. Joel suggests recommending to Rich Warrington that each site for "U" racks should provide for future expansion.
-
Planning Board meeting
has been rescheduled for Tues. April 29. Richard Joly needs something in writing by April 24. Brian will draft a letter and send it in time to respond and get it to Mr. Joly by the 24th. Bob reported that he spoke to the store manager at Whole Foods who agree with us that the racks should be closer to the store entrance. Bob will find out his name and ask if he can be quoted.

NGRT improvements
Terry spoke to Adrianne. She reported that the NGRT is not automatically repaired. Folks need to complain before any work will be done. Terry thinks he and Bob should go out and take photos of the bad places. Glaciers from the VA melt every spring which causes more and more gullies. Joel suggests getting Rich Warrington to provide cost and number of times the DPW has repaired NGRT. It is dangerous for bikes now. Bob will go out with Terry to take photos.
Next Meeting for the BBAC is Wednesday May 14, 2008, 7:30pm at the Town Hall.
Meeting adjourned at 8:25pm.
